Gemstone color is only half of the combination. Yellow gold warms the stone. Rose gold introduces a soft pink contrast. White gold creates a cooler, cleaner frame.

A fresh piercing is different from a healed piercing. Initial jewelry needs to be appropriately sized and constructed for the specific placement, anatomy and expected swelling.
A professional piercer should choose and fit the initial jewelry and explain when it is safe to change it. Do not swap jewelry simply because the outside of the piercing looks healed; the inside can still be healing.
Once the piercing is fully healed and ready for normal jewelry changes, that is when a collection such as Pia becomes especially fun. You can choose the gemstone because you love the color, because it is your birthstone, because it matches another piercing or simply because it feels more like you.
